Crocus flavus is a herbaceous, non-woody, broad-leaved plant with a terrestrial growth form. It typically attains a height of around 11 centimetres. The flowering period extends from March to April. Its natural range encompasses parts of Europe, Africa and temperate Asia, and it is native in Great Britain.
