The leaves have an average area of 1,263 mm² and the minute seeds weigh around 0.0056 mg each. It prefers full sun, fresh (moderately moist) moisture levels, a calcareous to basic soil reaction, and very low nutrient availability. It is typically found in moderately lean, fresh meadows that experience little disturbance.
