About this species

Hippuris vulgaris is a native, herbaceous perennial of wet meadows, marshes and shallow water margins. Reaching around 30 cm in height, this aquatic plant produces whorls of leaves and flowers between May and August. It prefers full sun and permanently moist to wet, base-rich soils.
