Narcissus pseudonarcissus is a herbaceous, non‑woody perennial of the Amaryllidaceae family. The broad‑leaved plant reaches a typical height of around 28 cm and flowers from March to April. It is adapted to sunny positions with fresh, moderately moist, neutral to slightly acidic soils of medium nutrient status, in moderately warm conditions. Average leaf area is approximately 1730 mm², and the typical diaspore mass is about 5.3 mg. Arbuscular mycorrhizal associations have been recorded.
