Nasturtium microphyllum is a herbaceous, non-woody plant belonging to the Brassicaceae family and is native to Great Britain. It reaches around 0.5 metres in height and bears broad leaves. Adapted to aquatic and semiaquatic environments, it thrives in full sun on permanently wet, nutrient-rich ground with a neutral to slightly acidic reaction. The minute seeds, weighing on average 0.125 mg, are dispersed by water. Flowering occurs from May to October.
