Position in full sun. Provide a moisture-retentive, fertile soil with an alkaline to neutral pH. Water regularly to keep the ground evenly moist, particularly during dry spells.
Veronica longifolia is a non-woody herbaceous plant in the family Plantaginaceae. It is introduced and has become established in the wild in Great Britain. The plant reaches approximately 0.86 m in height and bears broad leaves. Flower spikes appear from June to August. In its naturalised habitats, the species displays a strong preference for full sun and grows on moist, calcareous to basic soils with a moderate nutrient supply. The ecological indicator values suggest it favours moderately warm temperatures, low disturbance and no tolerance of saline conditions. The seeds are very light, with a mean diaspore mass of 0.0732 mg.
