What are FFH habitats?

The EU Habitats Directive (FFH) protects 93 habitat types in Germany. Each type is identified by a numeric code and describes a specific ecosystem — from North Sea sandbanks to alpine larch-stone pine forests. Naturkompass helps you understand these habitats and create structures in your own garden that mimic natural habitats.
