Glyceria fluitans is a broad-leaved, non-woody grass (family Poaceae) adapted to aquatic and semi-aquatic conditions. It typically reaches about 0.6 m in height, with leaf blades averaging 1121.9 mm² in area. The species is native in Great Britain. It prefers full sun, consistently moist soil and neutral to slightly acid conditions of moderate nutrient status. Flowering occurs from May to August.
