Knautia arvensis is a native wildflower of open, sunny grasslands across Great Britain, contributing to the botanical diversity of meadows and verges.
The plant grows actively in spring, producing leaves and then flowering stems. Flowers are borne from June to September. Afterwards, seeds develop and the foliage withers in late autumn.
