Grow in full sun in a moisture-retentive soil of average fertility, avoiding sites that become waterlogged. This plant is suited to a naturalistic meadow or border where the soil is kept evenly moist during the growing season.
Leontodon hispidus is a non-woody herbaceous plant in the daisy family (Asteraceae). It reaches a typical height of around 22 cm and has broad leaves. The plant is native in Great Britain and occurs in open, sunny habitats with fresh to moderately moist soil. It tolerates only low levels of disturbance. Flowering extends from June through October.
