Nomada hirtipes is a cleptoparasitic bee that develops in the nests of other solitary bee species. It is univoltine, producing a single generation each year. Females have an intertegular distance of 1.59 mm and a tongue length of 3.32 mm. The species belongs to the genus Nomada, commonly known as cuckoo bees, which do not collect pollen for their own offspring but instead lay their eggs in the provisioning cells of host bees.
