Oenanthe silaifolia is a broad-leaved, non-woody herbaceous plant native to Great Britain. It typically grows to around 0.48 metres tall. The species prefers full sun, moist soil conditions and a calcareous to basic reaction, while tolerating slight salinity. It occurs in low-disturbance, moderately warm habitats on mesotrophic soils. Arbuscular mycorrhizal associations are present. Its flowering period extends from May to July.
