Pedicularis palustris is a herbaceous, non-woody plant in the broomrape family (Orobanchaceae), native in Great Britain. It is a hemiparasite, obtaining some of its nutrients from the roots of surrounding vegetation whilst also photosynthesising. The plant typically reaches around 28 cm in height and bears broad leaves with an average area of 319 mm². Its seeds are minute, each weighing approximately 1.2 mg. Flowering occurs from May to August. This species is found in full sun on wet, nutrient-poor soils that are neutral to slightly acidic. It prefers sites with little disturbance and moderate warmth.
