Picea sitchensis is a woody, evergreen tree in the pine family. It is an introduced species that has become established in Great Britain. Mature specimens can reach a height of around 55 metres. The leaves are needle-shaped, with an average leaf area of 17.99 mm², and the tree has a terrestrial habit. Blooming takes place from May to June. The species produces diaspores with an average mass of 2.37 mg.
