Pityogenes bidentatus is a small beetle of the weevil family Curculionidae, recorded in Great Britain. Adults measure approximately 2.6 mm in body length and weigh around 1.3 mg. The body is compact: the elytra are 1.2 mm long and 0.5 mm wide, the pronotum is 1.1 mm long and 0.87 mm wide, and the head is 0.67 mm wide. The antennae are 0.34 mm long, and the mandibles measure 0.22 mm with an aspect of 0.68. The wings are relatively long (3.3 mm) and narrow (1.14 mm wide), yielding a wing aspect of 2.9 and a wing loading of 0.415. The cuticle is light in colour (lightness 112.36). Dorsally, the head bears a noticeable covering of fine hairs, while the pronotum and abdomen are more sparsely haired.
