Plant in a sunny location in well-drained, normal garden soil. The species tolerates dry to moderately moist conditions and does not require rich feeding. It flowers from June to September.
Potentilla intermedia is a terrestrial, non-woody herbaceous plant. It bears broad leaves and reaches a typical height of around 33 cm. The species flowers from June to September. In Great Britain it is an introduced, established neophyte. It has been recorded in parts of Europe and Africa (DAISIE). Indicator values suggest a preference for sunny sites, moderately warm temperatures, and fresh, moderately moist to dry soils. It is a medium-feeder of nutrients and occurs on calcareous or basic substrates, with a low tolerance of disturbance.
