Anthaxia quadripunctata is a small buprestid beetle. Adults measure roughly 5.4 mm in body length and weigh around 10 mg. The body is light in appearance, with a recorded colour lightness of 113.65. No sexual size dimorphism is evident (dimorphism score 0.0). The dorsal surface of the head, pronotum and abdomen is hairless, whereas the ventral abdomen carries a dense coat of setae (hairiness score 18.16).
