Arhopalus rusticus is a longhorn beetle (family Cerambycidae) recorded from Great Britain. Adults attain a body length of roughly 3.2 cm. The body is dark in colour, broad and compact in shape. The antennae reach about 11.5 mm, noticeably shorter than the body. The dorsal surface of the elytra and pronotum bears a moderate covering of fine hairs, and the body hairiness is most pronounced on the abdomen. The wings are fully developed, with a wing length of approximately 22.5 mm.
