Schizotus pectinicornis is a beetle of the family Pyrochroidae. It has been recorded in Great Britain. Adults reach a body length of approximately 1.1 cm and a mass of about 0.036 g. The body is moderately rounded, with a width of 3.4 mm and a height of 2.2 mm. The elytra are around 7.2 mm long and 1.7 mm wide. The pronotum measures 1.3 mm in length and 1.7 mm in width, and its dorsal surface bears notably dense setae, contributing to a total body hairiness score of 36.9. The head is 1.4 mm wide and 1.5 mm long, with eyes covering an area of 0.22 mm². The mandibles are short, 0.53 mm long, with a narrow proximal width of 0.086 mm and a low aspect of 0.16. The antennae extend to about 5.7 mm. The hind femora are 2.3 mm long and the hind tibiae 2.4 mm; the front femora are 1.7 mm and front tibiae 1.7 mm. The wings are approximately 9.4 mm long and 3.6 mm wide, with an area of 26.5 mm², giving a wing load of 1.37 and a wing aspect of 2.57. The colouration is dark (colour lightness score 113.3). No sexual dimorphism was found in the measured traits.
