Stenocorus meridianus

Stenocorus meridianus is a longhorn beetle with an adult body length of about 19 mm (literature records give a mean of 20 mm) and a mass of roughly 0.1 g. The elytra measure 11.5 mm and the antennae extend to 11 mm. The head is 2.85 mm wide, the pronotum 3.3 mm long by 2.8 mm wide, and the wings span 14.4 mm in length with an area of 49 mm², yielding a wing load of 2.18 and an aspect ratio of 3.29. The legs are proportioned: hind femora 5.2 mm, hind tibiae 5.8 mm. The body is moderately rounded (roundness 1.25) and its colour lightness is 124. No sexual size dimorphism is evident. The species has been recorded in Great Britain.
