Ernoporicus fagi belongs to the weevil family Curculionidae. It is a very small beetle, with a mean body length of approximately 1.75 mm based on literature; directly measured individuals show a length of 0.1822 cm and a mass of 0.000336 g. Morphological measurements reveal a body width of 0.583 mm, a head width of 0.401 mm, and an eye area of 0.013 mm². The antennae are short, with a length of 0.351 mm, and the mandibles are relatively small (length 0.138 mm, aspect 0.554). The elytra measure 1.116 mm in length and are 0.295 mm wide. The pronotum is 0.568 mm wide and 0.594 mm long. Limb segments are thin, with femora and tibiae of similar length around 0.27–0.33 mm. The wings are well-developed: wing length 2.55 mm, wing area 1.575 mm², resulting in a wing loading of 0.213 and an aspect ratio of 2.81. Colour lightness is 108.99, indicating a pale hue. The body is noticeably hairy, with a total hairiness index of 37.46; the dorsal abdomen being the hairiest region (53.07), followed by the ventral abdomen (46.65) and dorsal pronotum (35.71). The head dorsally has a hairiness value of 14.41. A sexual dimorphism score of 0.0 suggests no observable difference between sexes. In Great Britain, the species is recorded but its presence status is indeterminate; it has not been confirmed as introduced and established.
