Sedum acre is a native perennial succulent in Great Britain, where it is considered indigenous or an archaeophyte. It forms low mats of fleshy, broad leaves and reaches about 7 cm in height. The stems are non-woody and the plant is a leaf succulent adapted to terrestrial habitats. It thrives in full sunlight on dry, nutrient-poor, calcareous soils and tolerates only slight disturbance. Flowers appear from May to July. The species is not regarded as threatened (Red List category *).
