Grow in full sun on moisture-retentive, moderately fertile soil. Water regularly to keep the ground evenly moist, particularly during dry spells. No supplementary feeding is needed. Choose a position that is not subject to frequent soil disturbance.

Mentha pulegium is a native wild herb in Great Britain. It is a non-woody, broad-leaved herbaceous plant reaching about 0.22 m in height. The leaves average 132 mm² in area and the tiny diaspores weigh around 0.07 mg. This species requires full sun and fresh to moist, moderately fertile soil. It shows slight salt tolerance and is associated with low-disturbance habitats. Flowering extends from June to September.
