Trichius fasciatus is a small scarab beetle with a body length typically around 10.5 mm and a mass of about 0.26 g. The body is compact and rounded, measuring 7.2 mm across and 4.9 mm in height, giving it a roundness index of 0.67. The head is broad (3.1 mm) with large eyes covering 0.79 mm² and moderately long antennae. The species is conspicuously hairy: the head is densely covered dorsally, the pronotum bears abundant hairs, and the ventral abdomen is particularly hairy; total hairiness across the body is scored at 15.7. The elytra are pale, with a colour lightness value of 132.3. The wings are well developed, spanning 12.8 mm in length and 38.1 mm² in area, resulting in a wing loading of 6.8 N/m² and an aspect ratio of 3.4, which are consistent with active flight. The legs show typical proportions. This beetle is recorded in Great Britain; in Germany it is considered not threatened (Red List category *).
