Valgus hemipterus

Valgus hemipterus is a small scarab beetle with a body length of approximately 7.8 millimetres and a mass of around 23 milligrams. Its body shape is relatively rounded, with a roundedness value of 0.77. The colour is light (a colour lightness index of 112.11), and the body surface bears a covering of fine hairs, most densely on the head and pronotum. The wings are well developed, with a wing area of about 17 square millimetres, and a wing loading of 1.32 indicates moderate flight capability. The antennae are fairly short, and the mandibles are small and blunt. No marked sexual dimorphism is present.
