It is univoltine, producing one generation a year, and adults are on the wing from May to September. The species is polylectic; females collect pollen from a broad range of flowering plants. Females are small, with an intertegular distance of 1.51 mm and a tongue length of 2.05 mm. In Germany, it is listed as Near Threatened (Vorwarnliste) on the national Red List.
